On-River Response
Main
With a manned, 24-hour, 365 days per year, emergency response telephone number, Weavertown Environmental Group (WEG) employees are always available to utilize their extensive experience to assist our clients at any hour of the day or night. WEG has responded to thousands of releases at steel mills, chemical plants, mining facilities, public utilities, river terminals, railroad car derailment and tanker truck rollover sites.
As an added benefit, Weavertown offers to its customers a total emergency response service including load transfers and up-righting of tankers with the most modern equipment and total remediation cleanup. WEG employees, including our towing and recovery personnel, are 40-hour HAZMAT trained to handle any type of chemical or petroleum release. All drivers have required HAZMAT endorsements on their drivers licenses.
Uniquely situated with WEG’s emergency response personnel, our professional engineers, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists provide “round-the-clock” regulatory compliance assistance, subsurface soil and groundwater investigations and engineered remedial technologies during emergency situations.
WEG is a recognized Chemical Manufacturers Association spill response contractor. With one of the largest inventories of emergency response equipment in the Mid-Atlantic region, WEG’s certified Haz-Mat teams can mobilize to contain a release and ensure maximum safety to health and the environment.
In order to prevent costly and dangerous releases of hazardous materials to the environment, many businesses rely on WEG for response plan development to minimize liability and exposure, as well as satisfying the regulatory requirements of State and Federal Agencies.
To prepare for emergency situations, WEG has developed “Bottom’s Up”, a roll-over tank as part of their Education and Training Services.
